Hair TodayBy by Marilyn Beck & Stacy Jenel Smith - Creators Syndicate, INC. Playing Steve Martin's nemesis in "Bringing Down the House" is something Michael Rosenbaum won't soon forget. In the upcoming comedy, Rosenbaum not only got to work with one of his favorite comic actors of all time, he got to work with hair on his head. Declares the "Smallville" actor, who shaves his head daily to play the follically challenged Lex Luthor on the WB series, "I got to wear this really funny, cheesy wig for the part. It definitely goes along with the cheesy character I play." Rosenbaum, who did double duty -- shuttling back and forth between his series Vancouver set and the L.A. film shoot -- says he was able to keep his bearings about him by "remembering which day was wig day. By the end of the movie, with all the primping and waxing and pulling and pinning, I felt like an old starlet who'd had a rough life." "Bringing Down the House," which also stars Eugene Levy, Joan Plowright and Queen Latifah, hits theaters in March. |
