"Smallville" star Michael Rosenbaum has partnered with "Smallville" writer/executive producer Greg Beeman to pen "Welcome to Paradise," a single-camera, half-hour project for Fox based on Rosenbaum's life as a teenager in the late 1980s.

"Welcome to Paradise" centers on a 13-year-old boy whose eccentric family moves from New York to Indiana.

The script stems from a series of vignettes Rosenbaum had written about his childhood and adolescence while on location in Vancouver filming "Smallville."
