The WB’s Bald Bad Guy

- Seventeen

As Smallville’s Lex, Michael Rosenbaum is sketchy. But in reality he’s a laid back guy with a thing for sweet southern gals.

1. So what were you like at 17?

I was about five feet tall and probably the smallest person in my grade. I don’t think I ever went out on date. I wasn’t popular.

2. Tell us about your first kiss.

I was playing Spin the Bottle with these beautiful twin sisters and another hot girl who lived on my block. I didn’t know what the hell I was doing. They were only interested in kissing this guy Danny. They were all over him because my kisses weren’t good.

3. Tell us about your worst date.

I was out with this girl, and I thought it was going great. When I took her home I asked, “What are you doing tomorrow?” She said, “I think you’re cool, but this is just not going any further” It still bothers me!

4. What’s the worst job you’ve ever had?

I worked in a pet store. I had to clean out animal cages at 6am I made about $4.50 an hour, and the place smelled like crap.

5. What makes you laugh?

Elevator rides. Everyone is always so uncomfortable and tense. When I’m in an elevator, I usually make a little fart noise with my mouth to loosen things up.

6. The scariest moment of your life?

I was on my way back from a party, and these guys jumped out of nowhere. One of them had a gun. He said, “Give me your money or I swear I’ll kill you.” I ended up handing over five dollars- but they didn’t get the $300 from my front pocket. When I told my buddies, they were like, “We’re gonna go get’em!” I said “Who do we think we are? The Jets from West Side Story?”

7. What’s your biggest flaw?

I’m brutally honest, which can be harsh.

8. How do you know it’s love?

You just know. You look at somebody and think You’re it. I’m a love at first sight kind of guy, but I try not to get carried away.

9. What do you do for fun?

I play hockey. I like to write-I’ve written scripts, and I have some stuff in the works. Recently a friend came visiting with this girlfriend, and we sat around and played board games. I kick ass at Boggle.

10. So what’s the coolest thing you’ve bought lately?

A custom van with a flat screen TV, DVD player, CD player, and a Playstation.

11. Do you just hang out in there and watch TV?

No. My backyard is the ocean. I own a houseboat, like Tom Hanks’ in Sleepless in Seattle, but not as nice. Between my van and my boat, I don’t even need to go out.

12. If you weren’t famous tomorrow, what would you do for a living?

I would be a ‘70s rock DJ. I collect T-shirts from 1970s rock bands. I’d play songs like “Sailing” by Christopher Cross.

13. If you could trade places with anyone for a day, who would it be?

Ryan Phillippe. I have a big crush on Reese.

14. What is the best thing about having a shaved head?

Not having to wash or comb my hair. But you have gotta wash your scalp, usually with a little Suave or Kiehl’s. You gotta get it nice and shiny. The worst is getting razor burn.

15. On Smallville, Lex is drawn to bad girls. Are you like that in real life?

No. I like down to earth, funny girls. There’s something special about southern girls.

16. If you could have any superpower...

I would be invisible. I’d go to the best rock concerts and sit right on the stage.

17. Had any weird dreams recently?

I dream of zombies or Nicole Kidman.
